MAKES ABOUT ¾ CUP

A delicious way to spice up your coffee sweetener

This sweet, spicy syrup is perfect for flavoring iced coffee, cold brew coffee and many more of your favorite drinks. Here’s how to make and store it.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup water
  • 1-inch piece* fresh ginger, peeled and cut into pieces
  • *For a stronger flavor, use a 2-inch piece of ginger

How to Make

STEP ONE

In a small saucepan, combine honey, water and ginger. Simmer for 35-40 minutes.

STEP TWO

Strain syrup into a jar. Discard ginger pieces, then let syrup cool before sealing the jar.

STEP THREE

For Honey Ginger Iced Coffee: Fill a glass with ice and 1-2 tablespoons of syrup.

STEP FOUR

Add coffee brewed double strength. Try Starbucks® Breakfast Blend.

STEP FIVE

Top off with creamer (optional).
