A delicious way to spice up your coffee sweetener

This sweet, spicy syrup is perfect for flavoring iced coffee, cold brew or any of your favorite Starbucks® drinks. Keep it on hand to add a delicious splash of honey ginger to your morning cup any time.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup water
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and cut into pieces
  • Starbucks® Breakfast Blend coffee
  • Coffee creamer (optional)

 

How to Make Honey Ginger Simple Syrup

STEP ONE

In a small saucepan, combine honey, water and ginger and simmer for 35–45 minutes.

 

For a stronger flavor, use a 2-inch piece of ginger.

STEP TWO

Strain syrup into a jar. Discard ginger pieces, then let syrup cool before sealing the jar.

STEP THREE

Fill a glass with ice and 1–2 tablespoons of syrup.

STEP FOUR

Prepare double-strength coffee in your preferred method. For optimal taste, we recommend using the coffee press method.

 

For double-strength coffee, double the amount of coffee grounds per serving. That is, if making one 6-ounce cup of coffee, use 4 scoops of ground coffee instead of 2.

STEP FIVE

Top off with creamer (optional) and enjoy.
