This creative take on the classic cocktail is easy to make and sure to delight. In place of the bourbon traditionally used to make an Old Fashioned, we’re substituting delicious homemade cold brew coffee.
How to Make Cold Brew Old Fashioned
Drape cheesecloth inside the mason jar.
Add coffee. We recommend Starbucks® Breakfast Blend with a coarse grind. Fill with pure, filtered water. Steep for 12 hours at room temperature.
Strain and discard cheesecloth with coffee grounds.
Make orange syrup. Add water, raw sugar and orange peels to saucepan.
Bring to a boil to dissolve sugar, then let cool.
Add orange syrup and Angostura® bitters to glass and stir.
Add ice then top with the Breakfast Blend cold brew that you steeped overnight.
Rim glass with orange peel.
Garnish with an orange twist and a cherry or two.
Serve and enjoy.
