Nestlé USA recalls metallic mugs sold with Starbucks-branded gift sets due to burn and laceration hazards.

Nestlé USA is voluntarily recalling four 2023 holiday gift sets containing metallic mugs that if microwaved or filled with extremely hot liquid, can overheat or break, posing burn and laceration hazards.  Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mugs and either return to the place of purchase or contact Nestlé USA for a full refund.

To contact Nestlé USA for a refund, please call us at 800-681-1676 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or contact us online by following these steps: 

  1. Go to the Contact Us page on the Nestle USA website available here:
  2. Scroll down to the “Leave us a message” option
  3. Select “Complaint”
  4. In the “A question about…” field, select “Recall”
  5. In the “Your message” field, please note “metallic mug recall refund” in writing, and either provide the mug ID code located on the bottom of the mug (following the trademark statement) and beginning with the letter “M”, or submit a picture of the bottom of the mug (see instruction #7 below). Please also include your preferred shipping address, so we can process your refund by mail. Finally, please confirm in writing that you have disposed of the mug in the trash after taking pictures.
  6. Please attach any photo(s) of the mug in the “Something to send us” section, including an image of the bottom of the mug for capture of the ID code (per instruction #5) if sharing via image file versus in writing.
  7. Please provide your location, name, and email or phone number in the applicable fields so that we can contact you about your refund.
