ABOUT THIS GUIDE
A slow-steeped coffee press cold brew makes for a smooth and refreshing drink for any type of weather.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
WATER-TO-COFFEE RATIO
Add coarse ground coffee
Use 4 Tbsp (22 g) of grounds for every cup (6 fl oz) of water.
Pour water over the grounds
Fill the press with cold or room-temperature water.
Saturate the grounds
Gently stir the grounds a few times with a spoon. One or two stirs is plenty.
Let the coffee steep
Secure the lid and leave your coffee for 12 hours. Enjoy waking up to a perfectly concentrated cold brew.
Do not push the plunger down while your coffee steeps.
Steadily push down the plunger
Separate the coffee from the grounds by slowly pressing the filter down.
Carefully pour the cold brew concentrate into a pitcher
For an extra smooth taste, you can pour it through a second paper filter.
Add water, ice & you’re good to go
Pour one part concentrate with one part water into a glass with fresh ice, and enjoy your coffee at home!
Adjust the flavor of your cup to your preferred taste by adding more or less water. Give your coffee press cold brew a twist by serving it with a touch of cream, coconutmilk or seltzer.
Don’t have a coffee press? You can use any container for cold brewing. To separate the coffee grounds, carefully pour the coffee through a fine sieve or coffee filter.
Have some leftover cold brew? Freeze it into ice cubes for a ready-made treat on a hot day.
