At Starbucks, we see a lot of coffee beans. About a million pounds pass through our roasting facilities on a typical day.
And behind every batch are our master roasters. Together, they form a team that’s highly skilled and surprisingly tiny. Seven people are responsible for roasting every Starbucks cup on earth.
Between them, they share over 120 years of roasting experience and infinite passion for their craft. For each master roaster, coffee is a calling. They work closely with three coffee quality engineers (our resident blending experts) to ensure consistent taste across all of our roasts, worldwide.
It’s no small feat. And for this small team, all in a day’s work.
